Hello to our Gardens on Columbine family and friends,

We're incredibly excited to share some uplifting news with all of you. We've recently set up an Eldergrow Garden right here in our community! For those who are not familiar, Eldergrow offers more than a simple gardening experience; it's a therapeutic horticulture program that adds a whole new layer to our caregiving approach.

Not Just Plants, But People Too

What makes our Eldergrow Garden special isn't just the array of colorful flowers and aromatic herbs. It's the inclusive experience it provides for all our residents, irrespective of their care needs. Led by trained Eldergrow Educators, our bi-monthly classes are accessible and tailored for both our memory and assisted living residents.

Safety and Sustainability

We're proud that our Eldergrow Garden is not only beautiful but also environmentally responsible and safe. From its organic, pesticide-free soil to its non-toxic plants, we've made sure that our indoor garden is as resident-friendly as possible. Plus, it's mobile, allowing us to bring the joy of gardening to various spaces within our community.

More Than a Gardening Club

Yes, we do have lovely plants, but our Eldergrow Garden is about so much more:

  • Social Opportunities: The garden has become a hub of interaction, allowing residents to engage with each other in a meaningful way.
  • Educational Programs: From history to science and culinary arts, we've broadened the scope of learning for our residents.
  • Cultural Enrichment: The garden is a gateway to the world, offering our residents the chance to explore various cultures through themed gardening activities.

Accessible All Year Round

Our indoor Eldergrow Garden ensures that residents can enjoy the benefits of connecting with nature throughout the year, overcoming the limitations posed by weather or mobility challenges.

Join Us in Our Garden Journey

We wholeheartedly invite all residents and their families to participate in this exciting new endeavor. Come, be a part of our gardening family. You don’t have to be an expert in gardening; you just need to bring your enthusiasm.

We look forward to sharing this enriching experience with all of you.

Best regards,
Peter
