Amidst the warm hues of Colorado's fall and under a bright November sun, the memory care residents enjoyed a delightful day of putt-putt golf in our courtyard. This special event made the most of the season’s beautiful weather, offering residents an invigorating outdoor experience.
Creating a Colorful Course
With the courtyard awash in autumn sunshine and surrounded by the vibrant colors of fall, our team set up a charming mini-golf course. Residents, each with a putter in hand, navigated the course with enthusiasm and a touch of competitive spirit. The game sparked laughter and friendly banter, fostering a light-hearted atmosphere that was infectious. As balls rolled into holes, the air was filled with cheers and encouragement from peers and staff alike.
Enhancing Well-being with Every Swing
The benefits of the day were manifold. Physically, the gentle activity helped residents with their hand-eye coordination and mobility. Mentally, figuring out the best angles for their shots kept their minds active. Socially, the event was a great way for residents to interact, enhancing feelings of belonging and joy.
More Good Times Ahead
Due to the success of this event, we are excited to plan more outdoor activities that take advantage of Colorado's wonderful weather and our beautiful outdoor spaces. At Gardens at Columbine, every season is an opportunity to engage, enjoy, and celebrate life.
